In my last wrap up post I said that I would try to read at least 5 books that way I could stay on track with my Goodreads challenge, which I am 2 books ahead, and I did. Though they weren’t all the books I said I would read. I did read the 3 Mercy Thompson books and am currently working on getting the reviews out. Though the other two I read, I didn’t expect to but I did and enjoyed both very much.

I’m hoping to keep up this 5 books or so a month until I finish this semester of school, though I am currently reading the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare and speeding through those pretty quickly as they are short stories but are amazing regardless. Anyways onto the books! I read 8 books in total this month and they are as follows:

Priest (Preist #1) by Sierra Simone and I gave this book 3.5 stars. This was one of those books that you don’t know whether to feel good or not that you read it. It was very, very, steamy and that was great but it felt weird at the same time, one being that the main character was a priest and his vow to be celibate broke while he was in the church up against an alter. Is that not weird? I liked it, I really did, smut all around and all that but goodness was I supposed to?

Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson #2) by Patricia Briggs and I gave this book 4 stars. The series just got so much better with the sequel and I could not get enough of the world that Mercy lives in! In this book the vampires play a bigger role in Mercy’s life and I loved how she gets out of situations that she never intends to get into in the first place. She is such a cool character that I look forward to learning more about her with every book.

Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson #3) by Patricia Briggs and I gave this book 5 stars. This book is probably my favorite and least favorite of the series. The book introduces some concepts that many authors can’t convey correctly and you will find out what it is once you read it, and I felt like Briggs’ executed it perfectly. I couldn’t feel closer to Mercy more until this book and while my heart hurt for her, I only know she is going to get better and stronger after this one.

Bone Crossed (Mercy Thompson #4) by Patricia Briggs and I gave this book 4 stars. Mercy is getting over the events from the previous book, and I cannot strain enough for more people to read this series, and she is slowly coming back to herself and to the wolf she has finally chosen to be with. I really enjoyed watching Mercy grow from the last book and how she chooses to not let it affect her life, as hard as it is trying, and she only gets better with each book.

Losing It (Losing It #1) by Cora Carmack and I gave this book 4 stars. This was a NA book that I really didn’t intend to read as I am on a NA hiatus but I found that I really liked it more than initially. The writing was fast and quirky, the main character – Bliss, was relatable and I loved her personality. I’m hoping to continue to series soon.

Feral Sins (Phoenix Pack #1) by Suzanne Wright and I gave this book 4 stars. I was weary of this book, it kept popping up on my social media feed as free and I thought, why not? I got it, read it, devoured it really, and loved it. It was sexy, hot and smutty all around. Though there is a particular scene that docked off the last half star because I didn’t agree with it and felt very awkward and weird reading it. Taryn was a badass female lead with a very dirty mouth but it worked being humorous as well. Trey was hot and alpha male all the way, clicking with Taryn almost instantly and their personalities seemed to fit perfectly. I know it sounds cliché, its what kept me away in the first place but it worked out in the end.

Bitter Bite (Elemental Assassin #14) by Jennifer Estep and I gave this book 5 stars. I love, love, love, this series with my heart and soul. I have been invested with Gin Blanco and her Assassin ways for 5 years and I never want to stop. I wrote a review for this book and yes it has spoilers, its the 14th book, but if you have read the series go have a look here.

Outlander (Outlander #1). I’m on it guys, I’m on the Outlander train and I hope I never get off. I was very emotional with the ending of this book though I can’t wait to start to sequel that everyone tells me that I will be even more emotional. I also have a review for this one, without spoiler, so I could possibly persuade you to read it. I can also say that Jamie Fraser will make you fall in love with him so hard, there is no coming back. You can see that review here.

Onto to TBR! I plan to read at least 6, maybe 7, books this month. My workload is lessening just a smidge and spring break is next week where I will be in a car or plane for a few hours heading home. I know I can get some serious reading time in so I expect to read more than 5 books.

1. Silver Borne (Mercy Thompson #5) by Patricia Briggs
2. River Marked (Mercy Thompson #6) by Patricia Briggs
3. Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson #7) by Patricia Briggs
4. Night Broken (Mercy Thompson #8) by Patricia Briggs
5. Fire Touched (Mercy Thompson #9) by Patricia Briggs
6. Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare

So almost the whole TBR is the Mercy Thompson series and I need to finish the series as the 9th one comes out in just five days and I am so excited to be caught up. Lady Midnight is one of my most anticipated books of 2016 and I am getting misty eyed just thinking about how it is also five days away from releasing. I am so excited for this reading month and I hope yours goes well too. Thank you readers for reading if you would like, let me know down in the comments what your TBR is or what you are currently reading or if you are excited for Lady Midnight as I am. I will have another blog post up soon,

Over and out.
